Your home. A clearer picture.

Your plans stay private.

Your drawings describe a home. Here is how the service uses them, and where to ask for help with your information.

Who we are

Homistry.ai is run by Variance Pty Ltd (ABN 83 608 890 115), an Australian company. For anything about your information, use Help & contact.

Accounts and saved homes

We keep the name and email address you provide, your account sign-in information, purchases, uploaded drawings, model results and the choices you make while building. These let you sign in, reopen your home and receive help. Passwords are stored as protected hashes, not readable passwords.

Your plans and models are available to your account and the service team handling your home. Uploading a plan does not add it to a public gallery.

Connected sign-in accounts

When available, you can choose Google or Facebook instead of an email password. The provider verifies your sign-in and may share your name, email address and a provider account identifier. We save the identifier to recognise your account on later visits. We do not receive your Google or Facebook password or request access to your contacts or posts.

Connecting another sign-in method to an existing account requires you to be signed in to that account. A matching email address alone does not link accounts. Email/password accounts remain available.

Essential, short-lived cookies and server records bind each sign-in attempt to your browser and help prevent another person from substituting their sign-in. Attempts expire after ten minutes; expired records are removed as new attempts begin. Provider access and identity tokens are used for verification and are not retained as account credentials.

How drawings are processed

The floor-plan pages selected from your upload are sent to OpenAI to interpret the drawing. The upload screen explains this before you choose files. The service then builds the model and saves the drawing, interpretation and model so that it can be reopened and corrected.

Saved revisions record changes, their time and whether they were made by you or the service team. Staff can keep private workshop notes to resolve an issue. These records help preserve the original drawing and explain repairs.

Only upload drawings you have permission to use. Remove information you do not want processed, such as unnecessary contact details, before uploading.

Plans you upload before paying are kept privately and are not read by AI. If you don’t pay for them, they are deleted 48 hours after upload (a little longer while a payment you started is still being confirmed by your bank). Once your home starts building, it keeps its own copy and the earlier copy is deleted.

Services that help us, and where

We use a few services to run Homistry.ai, and each receives only what its job needs: Google Cloud (United States) runs our server, where your account, plans and homes are kept; OpenAI (United States) reads the plan pages you upload; Stripe takes payments; Resend (United States) sends account and order emails; and Cloudflare delivers and protects the website from its worldwide network, and counts visits without cookies. Your information may therefore be processed outside Australia.

How long we keep things

Plans you upload but don’t pay for are deleted after 48 hours (14 days if a payment was started). Once a home is built, the upload copy is removed and the home stays in your account until you ask us to delete it. Support messages are kept so we can answer and follow up.

Payment information

Stripe handles card payment details in its secure checkout form, shown on our review page or on Stripe’s own page. Card details go to Stripe, not to us. Our service keeps the purchase reference, payment status, amount and currency so that we can unlock your upload, show your purchase and handle payment queries. Do not put card details into a support message.

Currency and essential browser storage

We use a sign-in cookie to keep your account session and remember a currency you explicitly choose in browser storage. Before you sign in, an essential cookie lets only your browser open the plans you uploaded; we keep only a one-way fingerprint of it, not the cookie itself. To suggest your initial currency, your browser may ask Country.is which country is associated with its public IP address. This is not precise location. Your plans, account details and payment details are not sent with that lookup.

You can change the selected currency at any time. Blocking essential cookies prevents account sign-in; blocking local storage may stop your currency preference being remembered.

Support and your choices

Messages sent through Help are saved with your name, email and any related purchase so that the team can respond and track the issue. If email delivery is enabled, transactional messages are delivered through Resend using your email address and the relevant message. Your homes remain saved so you can return to them.

Contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion or retention of your account, plans or support information. We may need to verify that the account or drawing belongs to you before acting. We’ll explain the request’s outcome rather than silently removing a paid home.

Simple activity counts

We count homepage visits, demo selections and the create-home button to understand whether the service is useful. A random value in this tab’s session storage prevents repeat events being counted twice. These events contain no account, drawing, name, address or payment details and are not sent to an advertising or analytics provider. Anonymous event records are removed after 90 days as new events are received. We respect your browser’s Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings for these counts.

The public example

The demonstration uses an identified public builder plan and a saved reconstruction. It does not show a private customer upload. Attribution and modelling assumptions are available under “About this example”.
